Canal Du Midi

After a quick two days in Berlin, Christoph and I flew to Toulouse to meet RR and HR for a weeklong boating trip along the Canal du Midi. We are now halfway through the week and I am writing from Carcassonne, home of the cassoulet. So far, Christoph and I are loving it!

The boat compares to a camper-van but on water. It's a bit of work and a lot of time in the sun, but the weather has been perfect and the canal is gorgeous. Also, as a bonus for us, RR is amazing in the kitchen and so at the end of a long day with the numerous canal locks, we sit down to a very appreciated beautifully cooked meal.

The people we've been meeting have all been very friendly and helpful. I find the locks totally fascinating and will post proper photos once we are back in Berlin. We also take this opportunity to thank everyone for Christoph's birthday wishes :-) Merci beaucoup et á bientôt!
