Siem Reap: The Temple City

It's been a fun, action-packed week for us with family/visitors from Berlin. RW and JW came to Thailand for their Easter break and happily joined us on our trip to Siem Reap last week.

I have wanted to visit Angkor Wat since we've been living in Asia but never got around to it while we were in China. All my friends who have been there have raved about the sights and so I was very excited to go. After spending 4 days in this amazing place, I was captivated! The Temple City (Angkor Thom) holds such a rich history in its religious buildings, intricate art and spatial design that you truly feel like an explorer when you're walking through the city's ruins and climbing it's monuments. Other than the insufferable heat, the trip was extraordinary.

Here are some of the fascinating sights that we saw in Siem Reap.
